Ocean Eyes Images are available to hire for weddings within Worcestershire, Warwickshire, and the West Midlands. We are currently taking last minute bookings for 2011, 2012 and 2013. Our 'Basic' package is just £299 and includes a photographer for 2 hours and a 20 page digitally produced album.

About our wedding service . . .

We have a developed a method of wedding photography that is a combination of traditional and reportage styles. We offer a range of contemporary and classic albums, instead of or as well as, a CD of digital images.

Traditional wedding photography consists mainly of shots of family groups, and of the bride and groom together. Most of these shots will have the subjects looking into the lens of the camera, and will be formally posed.

The reportage wedding photography style is a photo journalistic approach, which aims to tell the story of your wedding day, from nerves and tears to smiles and laughter. It is to photograph somebody without them really being aware of you, while you capture the natural emotion. Reportage images should show people who look at the wedding photographs what the atmosphere was like at that moment, and a large proportion of the images will be candid shots of both the bride and groom and their guests. Fine details of items prepared especially for the wedding day will also be skillfully recorded, such as the intricate sugarcrafting on your cake, buttonholes and bouquets, shoes, jewelry and room decorations. Ocean Eyes Images' photographers will remain unobtrusive and sensitive to the fact that it is your wedding day, and will make every effort not to interfere with your enjoyment of your day. We work with you in the run up to the wedding to make sure we take the shots you want. If there are any particular shots you don't want included that seem to usually be included, all you need to do it let us know and we will skip them. If there are shots that are very important to you that you don't see there, again you can make sure we know about these in advance. Once the day is over, it can't be recreated, so by meeting with you before the wedding and during the engagement shoot, we can make sure we are all on the same page about your requirements before the big day.

What you get for your money . . .

All our wedding photography packages include:

*a mix of reportage and traditional styles of coverage: formal group shots of family and friends, posed signature shots of the bride and groom, detail of all outfits / flowers / buttonholes / rings etc, detail of tables and food, detail of wedding venue, a staged cake cutting, and the option of adding coverage of speeches, first dance, and extra family groups as required. Please see our portfolio pages for ideas on shots you would like to be included in your collection.

*An online image gallery for you to share with friends and family. The album will be password protected, and there is an option for online purchases of photographic prints.

*We also include in most packages a complimentary 'engagement' photo shoot prior to the wedding. This is a chance for the bride and groom to meet both photographers prior to the wedding day, and for us to see how the bride and groom react to the camera - a dry run if you like! A complimentary 10"x8" print from the shoot is yours to keep - many couples then choose to mount this print and use it as a guest signature souvenir rather than use a traditional guest book. We do have bespoke frames available for purchase and can have the image professionally mounted for you after it has been signed on the day.

CD Option

There will be approximately 300-400 jpeg images on the CD. They will be standard colour-corrected, and they will be released from copyright so you will be free to use them for your own reprinting purposes.

OUR ALBUMS:

'AVANTE-GARDE'

The 'Avant-Garde' album is our signature album. It is a designer digital coffee table photobook of A4 size with 30 pages and a maximum of 45 photographs built into the design. This stunning album is leather bound with photographic pages mounted on board, and it comes with a choice of covers. The pictures are flush mounted on to a white board and cover the entire surface, edge-to-edge creating a truly stunning contemporary masterpiece. it has to be seen in person to be appreciated fully. The software we use to design the 'Avante Garde' albums enables us to apply innovative artwork including motion-fade effects, softened edges & shadows as well as many others, mixed with simple double-page panoramas. The images are a mix of colour, black and white and sepia. There is the option to upgrade to include extra pages, and to an A3 size. Miniature replica versions of your 'Avant-Garde' digital album are available for purchase by friends and family at either a size A4, A5 or A6.

'CLASSIC' Photo-Book

The 'Classic' photo-book is our economy product - a simple hardbacked, A4-size printed photo-book of 30 pages with up to 45 images. The 21.5 x 28 cm hardcover 'Classic' books feature photo-wrapped covers and matching dust jackets. Every 'Classic' book uses a traditional bookbinding style - complete with a striped headband - just like books from the bookstore. The images are printed next to each other on the page rather than being blended into each other, and while there is not the ability to be as creative in the design as with the 'Avant-Garde' album, these books are still a high quality contemporary take on the traditional album of the past. With the 'Classic' book there is the option to upgrade the number of pages. Duplicate versions of the book can be ordered for family and friends but miniature versions are not available.

Before committing to either the 'Classic' or the 'Avante-Garde' album, or to the CD option, it is highly recommended that you view our product range in person. This can be done after the wedding.

Our most popular photographer hire packages are as follows:

STANDARD - 4 hours

Your photographer will meet you both at the ceremony venue to capture both the groom and his groomsmen waiting together, and the bride's arrival with her bridal party. The photographer's day will finish at the reception venue with a staged cake cutting just before the receiving line for the Wedding Breakfast commences.

DELUXE - 5 hours

Your photographer will meet the bride at the venue where she is getting ready to record the morning preparations. Then she will go ahead of the bride to the ceremony venue to capture the groom and his men waiting. The photographer's day will finish at the reception venue with a staged cake cutting just before the receiving line for the Wedding Breakfast commences.

SUPERIOR - 6 hours

Our photographer will shadow both the bride and the groom through their morning preparations. We will all then work together through the day, finishing with a staged cake-cutting and receiving line at the reception venue. The final shot will be taken as the guests take their seats for the Wedding Breakfast. Please not that this package will only work if the bride and groom are getting ready at the same venue.

Optional Extras (applies to all packages):

For a photographer to return in the evening for 1 hour for the first dance and reception

These packages are just guidelines based on previous client requirements. We can completely customise your day, so please do contact us with any questions you may have about your particular schedule.

How it works . . . .

To secure your booking we take just 50% of the photographer hire fee as a deposit. About 5 months before the wedding we will schedule your engagement photo shoot outdoors at a chosen location free of charge. The ideal time to schedule the shoot for is about 3 months before the wedding.

You will meet with your photographer soon after this to view the images from the shoot, and we will also sit down together at this stage and discuss fine details of the wedding day - the schedules, shot lists and other arrangements - so we can ensure you get the results you want on the day.

Your photographer will be contactable from this point on until the wedding day for any questions and queries you may have in the run up to the wedding. The remaining 50% of the photographer hire fee is due 6 weeks before the wedding.

For both the CD and Album Options:

Within 4 weeks of the wedding your 'Proof' images will be uploaded to a password protected online gallery. 'Proofs' are unedited, unmastered images, that are not yet colour corrected and are not full resolution. Within 6 weeks of the wedding, your photographer will meet with you to show you your images as high resolution JPEGs in the form of a computer slideshow.

CD Option Only:

If you have chosen to just purchase the CD of uncopyrighted images, rather than an album, the full £399 fee will be due when you place the order. The disc will then be mailed to you within 28 days of the payment date.

Album Option Only:

If you decide to purchase an album, 50% of the album fee will be due now, and you will receive your 'Proofs' in the form of printed thumbnails. This will help you to shortlist your favourite images for the album. Your 'proofs' will consist of an A4 preview album containing miniature thumbnail print copies of your photographs, along with pricing and sizing information to help you make your selection. This preview album is yours to keep. You will also receive, on loan, a copy of the DVD slideshow of all the images taken at the wedding which you can use to share viewings with friends and family, and which will make the selection of your final images easier. The images on this slideshow are watermarked with copyright information, but copies of the DVD slideshow without any copyright watermarking will be available for purchase.

Once you have chosen your favourite images, and returned the proof DVD with any additional orders, the remaining 50% of the album fee is due, and we will then begin to create your album. All chosen images will be fully colour corrected at this stage, and any extra colour effects, special editing or cropping will take place now. Prints will be standard colour corrected, black and white or sepia. Customised editing to achieve extra colour effects can be provided for an additional fee.

You will then work through the draft album with your photographer until you are satisfied it meets your expectations. The completed album will be delivered to you no more than 6 weeks after the final draft has been approved.

*NEW*

Create a customised thank you card with your favourite wedding image on the front and your own text printed on the front and on the inside covers. Available in a range of sizes and styles.

Our prices are based on wedding venues being located within a 50 mile radius of our base. Please contact us for a quote if your venue is further afield, or to find out if your venue falls within our region.
